Paid a courtesy call to Dr. Benadatte Misoi, Managing Director of the Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre (KAGRC), at her office in Nairobi. Dr. Misoi, who hails from my neighboring village, Kaibeiyo in Emgwen Constituency, and I discussed opportunities for collaboration, particularly in training and capacity building for livestock sector MSMEs and animal farmers’ cooperatives in our constituency – training focused on best practices in animal husbandry to ensure more profitable and sustainable farming.
