A modern market is essential for creating a conducive environment where our business community can thrive. For too long, Kapsabet Town Market has fallen short of meeting the needs of our traders and residents. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring the establishment of the Kapsabet Modern Market—a facility that will uplift our local economy and provide a better space for our business people.

We’re pleased to report that the proposed construction of the Kapsabet Modern Market is progressing at the tendering stage, marking a significant step forward. This initiative, along with the development of other markets across the county, is aimed at empowering our business community.

This morning, as Nandi leadership, we convened with representatives from the State Department of Housing and Urban Development at the Governor’s Office in Kapsabet. We discussed the progress of various market projects, with the Kapsabet Modern Market being a priority. In attendance were H.E. Governor Stephen Sang, Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot, Hon. Marianne Kitany (MP Aldai), Hon. Benard Kitur (MP Nandi Hills), Dr. Philemon Bureti (CECM Housing), and other leaders.

Together, we are working towards a prosperous future for our business community and the people of Emgwen and Nandi.
